Wine tasting is one of my favorite hobbies but you brought my experience to a new level of understanding. Reminded me of some great times I've had with an old buddy of mine. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES! Very cool!
I took a class on sherries. Two hours of slides and tastings. We spilled over into ports a little (no pun intended). I enjoy both a great deal. We came out of the classes like you did! Was many years back, through adult ed. THere was less concern with "liability" in those days; I'll bet they don't do that anymore in Santa Barbara, near my home. Same for "fiesta": we used to dance and drink in the streets (now you'll get a ticket or carted off). Oh well, get it where you can find it. Looks like you got "fortified".
Last time I had port I ended up in the ER. Not necessarily related but...
