Hey, Let's Go To WonderCon!

My friend John Gebbia draws comics for Slave Labor Graphics, and was able to con me a free pass to Wondercon. I haven't been to a comic convention in years and it was good to see independent publishing thriving next to...well.. no point reading when you can just watch the video.
But as a teaser: Prepare to see typically exciting geek stuff like Luke Skywalker and Miss Playboy Playmate 1998!
The American Dream is realized.

It's always a pleasure catching a glimpse
into the Schlomo Rabinowitz universe.
This is great.
My last job
in new york city
was @ Forbidden Planet.
Working a comicshop in my
20's...geez geekdom!
anyway i didn"t steal anything
they gave us lots of "incentives."
I agree with bottomunions comment.
SHLOMOVERSE.
Hey Schlomo! My boyfriend Coderonin and I both volunteer at the Canadian National Expo in Toronto... we'll definitely be there again this year. It's funny... the ONE time I've ever been recognized for being Ms. Kitka was at the last Expo back in August. A videoblogger filmed me while I was working with Adam Baldwin (Firefly), posted the video up on the net and then left a comment on my site telling me about it. It was hilarious!
I've also been known in the past for dressing up in different Trek costumes that I custom made for myself...
Vive la geekery.
Kitka
PS: You appear on Kitkast for about one-second this week (in the Appendix). I told my audience about how videobloggers were doing the intros to Rerun month on Lo-Fi Saint Louis and I showed your rockin' guitar footage for a second or two.
Superhero meme indeed. I keep wondering why all these guys who dress up seem so depressed about having their photo taken. It's like "Oh ... shit ... now there's a record of my geekery."
But I love the geekery.
Love the shot of the playmate on her blackberry. Like some kind of lab experiment on coping mechanisms of an animal taken from their natural environment.
Thanks--I seriously needed the geek out. Sweet.
what DO you say to a nerd like that?!
-at an art school one knows that situation all too well-
-taxiplasm
I love cons....I really do, and if you think about it porn goes really well with a bunch of geeks who draw women in skimpy costumes....heck the guy that created Wonder Woman I am sure had a bondage fetish, cause all of Wonder Woman's early adventures she was always tied up... ;)
